Jeremy Hooke, Cllr for Thorpe Hamlet ward

Jereemy Hooke

Liberal Democrat Norwich City Councillor Jeremy Hooke visited several licensed premises in his ward of Thorpe Hamlet last Friday evening. He went in his role as Vice Chair of the Licensing Committee and was joined by other council members.

The night started at 10pm taking in a trip of Bethel Street Police station and after visiting clubs and bars finishing at nearly 3am on Saturday morning on Prince of Wales Road, Norwich.

Cllr Hooke found it a very informative event and intends to visit more licensed premises on a regular basis. By doing this Cllr Hooke will see at first hand the work of those trying to enforce licensing laws.

Cllr Hooke said "I will be visiting licensed premises and together with the appropriate officers I will be ensuring that licenses are being adhered too and offering advice as and where I can"
